4 Hi I am having an erratic idle problem Hi i am having an erratic idle problem on my 2003 1.4 Polo(Bby engine), the engine will stall and struggles to restart after having been driven.Simply leaving the car to idle and then blipping the throttle will also lead to a stall.The mechanics are not getting any fault codes.The map sensor has been replaced and the tb has been realigned without any change, tb has been cleaned as well.Even the o2 sensors have been replaced, however my understanding is that these should only affect the long term fuel trim.I am stumped as is the mechanic.Cheerswayne This could be an airleak after the airflow meter, any air dragged in here isn by the ecu and so not compensated for and can lean the engine out and can also allow the engine to rev up when not desired causing rough running.
